Our Director
Taryn, Stride’s Director, has over 20 years of experience in community services, including more than a decade in the disability sector.
Taryn’s passion for disability support is both professional and personal. Her brother Matthew, who lived with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, shaped her understanding of the importance of quality care, dignity, and the trust families place in support providers. His influence continues to guide the values and culture of Stride today.
As a proud mum of two, Taryn understands the importance of having people you can trust around those you love. She is committed to creating meaningful opportunities, genuine connections, and positive outcomes for the people and families Stride supports.
Our Team
Our team brings a wealth of both lived and learned experience in supporting people with disabilities and their families, enabling us to provide understanding, compassionate, and person-centred support.
Almost all of Stride’s employees have been with us for years, with some even returning after exploring other career paths, something we believe reflects the high level of job satisfaction within our organisation. Taryn leads with empathy and a genuine belief that when employees are valued and supported, participants receive the highest quality care.
We are committed to creating a safe, professional, and nurturing environment for both participants and staff.
Stride provides access to paid training, professional development opportunities, ongoing guidance, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), ensuring they feel supported in their roles and career growth.
We carefully match our support workers to the individual needs, goals, interests, and personalities of our participants, helping to build meaningful and lasting relationships.
In 2025, Stride Support Services was honoured to receive the Enablement Award for “The Most Outstanding Niche Disability Care Support Team” in Australia.
