Our Director
Taryn, Stride’s director, brings over 20 years of experience in the community services industry, with the past decade focused specifically on the disability sector. Her professional journey has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of providing care. Taryn holds a Bachelor of Health Promotion with a minor in HR, a Diploma of Community Services, Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, Certificates III and IV in Fitness, and a Certificate III in Children’s Services.
Taryn’s passion for this work is deeply personal. Her brother Matthew, who had cerebral palsy and epilepsy, was non-verbal and highly vulnerable. His life instilled in her a profound understanding of the trust families place in care providers, a perspective that continues to inspire everything she does. Matthew passed away in 2016, but he remains central to Stride’s values.
Outside of work, Taryn is a proud mum of two beautiful children, balancing family life with her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
